Thank you Sandy Creek High School!
Homeless World Aid would like to take this opportunity to thank Sandy Creek High School and the passionate team led by Taylor Winne!
We are sometimes cynical about today’s society but some individuals truly make a difference. Alexandra Vlachakis, the award winning teacher at Sandy Creek, is a model for leading by example. Her involvement in our charity has lifted geographical limitations and expanded our mission to the city of Tyrone, GA where her students will drive to help create awareness. With creative attempts to involve the entire school, the team will launch an event called “put a cap on homeless stereotypes”, requesting a $1 donation from each student wearing their favorite cap. This will be one of many ingenious activities assigned to homeless week that will help lessen the gloomy lives of our citizens in despair.
We applaud this team of devoted individuals joining our fight to end homelessness!
Thank you Alexandra Vlachakis, Taylor Winne, Angela Spears, Angela Johnson, Jamia Kenan, Kayla Triche, Kenadee Walker, Melany Mercado, Maria Cardenas and the entire faculty & student body at Sandy Creek High School; also Krystian Rojas, president of the Interact Club and Vanessa Boone, president, Key Club!
